Digital Asset Management or Not

It’s about con­tent stupid! Whomever con­trols the con­tent, con­trols the indus­try! Apple under­stands it all to well with it’s iTunes Store. When I worked for a Pre-​Press com­pany we devel­oped an online Dig­i­tal Asset Man­age­ment tool for adver­tis­ing agen­cies. They didn’t got the gold mine they were sit­ting on! At every com­pany I’ve worked for, they are reluc­tant to reuse con­tent or worse in some cases manage their con­tent. Con­tent equals earn­ing money, for own effec­tive (re)use or as busi­ness model.
