In our migration path towards a HDMI setup, we will have to exchange our trusty Harman Kardon DVD 22 to a Blu-ray player and a new 7.1 AV Receiver. We will probably end up with a Harman Kardon set-up again!? Harman Kardon recently released the BDP-1 (U.S.) and BDP-10 (Europe). The player will be able to upscale DVD’s to 1080p and feature RCA and component video outputs, HDMI 1.3a with x.v.Color output, coaxial outputs, optical audio output, analog audio outputs and an Ethernet jack.
It will set you back between €500 and €800 but then again Harman Kardon is known for their design and audio quality. If you’re a fan boy like me here’s a picture to grace your desktop.

Finally! I was wondering when HK would finally put a blu-ray player on the market. I wonder what kept them so long! I want to get myself a nice set too, but I was kept off a bit by the fact they did not have a blu-ray player yet! Now there is no excuse to *not* get it anymore
