Ever dreamed about super powers? If you should buy a game tomorrow this is it. You are Alex Mercer, a shape-shifter with absolute mastery over your genetic structure, stalking the streets of NYC, searching for your past. The web of lies makes this the biggest conspiracy of the past forty years. In you quest for the truth you notice that you’re not the only one with amazing powers; other killers also roam the city.
A secret war is about to take place in New York. First below the media radar, later a deadly infection runs completely out of control and the government seizes the media to stop the spread of information. By this time New York City is under quarantine as martial law is installed, Project Blackwatch is in effect.
In this firestorm of combat, carnage and death you feel quite at home.
You can view the teaser trailer of Prototype here (Movie 98,5 MB)
My game hotlist is now (in random order):

When I have actually the time of buying and playing these amazing games I’ll write a review right here.

Dude, I have the game (PC) and have been playing it since it was available.
I love the free roaming mode and all the upgrades you can get for your character, the cool moves and the Godlike feeling you get. You can get anywhere you want, climb up every building and structure. It is very cool to climb the top of the Chrysler building in New York and then just jump off it with getting as much as a scratch!
The storyline is not as immersive as with other games, for innstance like the single player version of Call Of Duty 4 – that was almost like you where in the movie yourself.
Because you get little pieces of the puzzle (story-line) each time by ‘consuming’ your victims the overall story is a bit fragmented.
Some elements remind me of Assasins Creed. A lot of missions are the same and after a while it becomes pretty repetative.
If you feel like doing something else than those missions, you can start with some side games like collecting all “landmark” points.
All in all a cool game, but I do not think the replay value is that big and the biggest thing: there is no multiplayer!
