Right Zoom is a free Mac utility from BlazingTools Software that changes the behavior of Mac OS X green traffic light zoom button to always expand windows to full screen (maximize) instead of resizing to best fit. The zoom button behaves differently depending on the application: Finder and Safari sizes to best fit, iTunes zoom switches between the mini player and the normal window, Mail goes full screen. The behavior differs from one app to another and makes this behavior inconsistent and unpredictable to use. For switchers from PC to Mac think this is really annoying. There’s one small thing the icon is U G L Y so I have offered a new free icon to BlazingTools Software. If they accept you’ll see it in the new version if they don’t you’ll be able to download it here.
BlazingTools Software has accepted my offer, thanks Alex for the fast release cycle.
